Management Positions

The current management policy is very scaled down small and focused. There are big huge problems when you work very hard and the people around you are also not working hard. The better funded record labels have a inefficiency budget that is not available here, also they can afford to spend more money getting a project started before having to see a return. Both the movie industry and the music industry have created a society at least here in the west where people to a large degree don't think much of musicians until they have received big video time and radio play. The cheapening of music without compensation from the Internet furthers there cause, marinating a bureaucracy for the musicians or actors to get through in order to be successful. A team is needed not only to promote a recording, get it into shops and tour but also to locate and contact people taking it to a bigger level. Charity funding for theaters that is donated to organizations and venues instead of performers also creates another level of bureaucracy for performers. This enforces favoritism and requires the performers to spend major time doing paperwork, phone calls and letter writing. The venue will of course prefer the better funded acts but may not consider making sure what they offer to under-funded acts allows for success. Because entertainment is priced within reach of the common person everything must be done to ensure a profit that will allow for further development. The world is not an equal opportunity employer when the rules and laws take the direction of socialism. It is a performer not a stack of bricks that someone throws a stage into that makes a show, the person is ALWAYS more important than the venue without consideration to the level of their art. People I work with should understand this and agree with this. A manager might benefit from big time inside connections but much of the work that needs to be done does not require previous experience.
